HOT FACTS OF THE CC COUPE COMPLETED IN THE WORKSHOP:


1974 Fiat 124 cc Coupe with Lancia 16V 2L normally aspirated.
 
ENGINE ACCESSORIES:

Forged pistons – Carillo rods – lightened flywheel – fully balanced – 16V cylinder head – twin 45mm webers –Unifilter socks – 4 into 1 custom extractors – alloy adjustable cam  wheels – custom camshafts – triple valve springs – big winged sump – remote oil cooler – remote oil filter –

custom oil catch can – full Earl’s braided hoses and fittings.

DRIVETRAIN:
Lightened flywheel – “Sachs” alloy race clutch – 5 speed Colotti gearbox – custom tailshaft – 5 link rear end – rose joints and poly bushes – custom Alfa Romeo axle assembly –  4.3 to 1 factory L.S.D.

BRAKES:
300 mm vented discs – four spot alloy calipers (front) 265mm – solid discs – Fiat calipers (rear) - custom pedal box – twin master cylinders – balance bar and remote cabin adjustable cable kit – remote reservoirs – braided brake hoses.
 
WHEELS – TYRES:
15x8 3 piece composite wheels (B.B.S. pattern) – Dunlop 205/50/15 Direzza 02G medium compound.

SUSPENSION:
Front -
Lowered custom Kings Springs – adjustable Koni shocks revalved to suit – custom adjustable sway bar – rack and pinion steering.

Rear -
5 Link Alfa Romeo rear axle – top links rose jointed and adjustable – lower links poly bushed – chrome moly adjustable and rose jointed panhard rod – lowered custom springs – Koni coil over shocks with adjustable ride height.

INTERIOR GADGETRY:
Full steel roll cage with intrusion bars built to CAMS/FIA specs – “Velo” FIA approved race seats – 6 point 3” race harnesses – custom pedals – “Tilton” brake bias adjuster –  helmet hammocks – Terratrip rally computer – Terraphone intercoms – 2x1kg fire extinguishers – large oil pressure light – monster tacho – shift light – sports leather steering wheel.

INTERESTING FACTS:
The car was put on a Dyno to check the engine performance and to everyone’s amazement the Fiat 2lt, 16 valve, carburettored engine pulled 200 hp at 7000 rpm 

The car recently competed in the Regularity Section of the HRCCQ event at Qld Raceway.

FIAT X19 ABARTH PROTOTIPO REPLICA:

 Norm  has been competing very successfully at the Mt Cotton Hillclimb Circuit in Queensland during 2005, and currently holds 3 separate records for the Marque Sports 1601 to 2000cc class.
